These are files
you can use with a Garmin GPS, Garmin Mapsource and Google Earth Plus (and
plenty of other hardware and software). You can import the .gpx or .mps
files to Google Earth Plus where they will overlay the planet with both my
route (crow-type from waypoint to waypoint) and some tracks, including the
one I recorded the day of The Big Cash. The resolution in that instance is
such that you can identify the grey line of the gravel track on which I was
riding and the surrounding terrain. For those without Google Earth I've also
added CrashSite.jpg which is the view from 40,000 feet. And in Australia you
can see clearly the campsite I was on in Sydney, and my ride around Ayers
Rock. |
